Salem-Keizer Public Schools is committed to providing students with safe and efficient transportation.
Registering for School Bus Transportation
If your child is transportation-eligible and would to ride the school bus to and/or from school, you can register them using the steps below.
- A student lives at a residence within their neighborhood school attendance area
- Their residence is outside the Oregon's-defined walk zone for that school (1 mile for elementary students and 1.5 miles for secondary students)
Find Your Bus Stop
The district's Busfinder app allows you to find bus route, bus stop, pick up and drop off times, and your student's assigned school based on your residential address. Each bus's route number (RT#) is displayed to the left of its door.
For more information please contact Boundary Information at 503-399-3246.
Register to Ride the Bus
Once you've determined your student is eligible to ride the bus, an application for bus rider registration will be provided to you in your ParentVUE account.
Bus rider registrations are accepted and processed year-round and must be renewed each school year.
Student Program Transportation
If your student is in a program such as Dual Language, CTEC or in Special Needs programs, please contact your program office for bus transportation information. If you are unsure who to contact regarding your program, please contact your neighborhood school. Students receiving transportation as a service related to an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) will have their request initiated through their teacher or case manager.
