Salem-Keizer Public Schools is partnering with the community to host in-person events in multiple languages as well as virtual events about the upcoming school year.

What

During these events, district leaders will share information to prepare for the new school year including: school schedules, transportation information, meal services, communication, technology, updates on COVID-19 protocols for in-person learning and more.

​​Face coverings will be required for in-person events. Face coverings will be provided if needed.

Culturally-sensitive education and advocacy – Co-hosted by SK-NAACP

  • When: Wednesday, Aug. 25, 5 p.m.
  • Location: Roberts at Chemeketa: 4071 Winema Place NE, Salem
  • To best meet the needs of all our students and families, SKPS will be co-hosting a special culturally-sensitive education and advocacy session. During this session, we will share information about back-to-school and how we are working to further support students and families historically underserved through our system.

Family engagement nights

Through both of the district’s family engagement sessions, August 4 and 6, and surveys, more than 3,500 families joined the discussion and shared their questions and concerns about returning to school in the fall.
