Salem-Keizer Public Schools has contracted with a professional public opinion research firm to conduct a phone survey of residents. The survey will help the district learn about the community’s opinions on facility improvements and the possibility of a general obligation bond.
The phone survey launched on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, and will continue for the next few days.
The survey was ordered by the School Board at its March 21, 2017, meeting in response to a recommendation report from the Citizens Facilities Task Force. The Task Force studied the district’s Long Range Facilities Plan, and recommended that the Board pursue a general obligation bond to pay for the needed improvements.
