Construction subcontractors are invited to attend a virtual outreach event on Friday, January 8, 2021. Interested contractors may join the virtual meeting at 1:00 p.m. to learn about projects that will be going out to bid in 2021. The event will end at 2:00 p.m.
The event will be held on the Microsoft Teams platform. To attend the virtual outreach event, email Brandi DeMarco at demarco_brandi@salkeiz.k12.or.us by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2021.
The event will connect construction firms with school district Construction Services staff and will focus on upcoming design/bid/build projects included in the 2018 bond program. Salem-Keizer is in the third year of implementation of the bond program and plans to start work on 17 construction projects in 2021.
In May 2018, the Salem and Keizer communities approved a $619.7 million bond to fund improvements across the school district. Since that time, through premiums, grants, reimbursements and earnings on bond funds, the total approved bond program has grown to more than $700 million. All schools in the district will receive some level of improvement under the bond with 31 schools planned to receive expansions or major renovations.
For more information about the 2018 bond program, please visit the For Construction Contractors page and the Bond Projects Status page of the district website.
