About the school board

Each board member is elected by local voters to serve a four-year term without pay. Even though each member represents a zone in the district, the entire board works together to serve all students in Salem and Keizer.

Student Advisors

In addition to the election of board leadership, Raylin Brennan from Sprague High School was also formally sworn into service as a student advisor. Isaac McDonald from West Salem High School will also serve as a student advisor and will be sworn in at a later date. Both Raylin and Isaac will serve on the board in a non-voting, advisory capacity through June 2023.
