Salem-Keizer Public Schools is seeking two community members to serve on the budget committee. Each appointee will serve a three-year term ending June 30, 2024. Committee members will review and approve budgets for adoption by the school board during this time.

Requirements for eligibility

Candidates must be registered voters and residents of Salem-Keizer School District 24J. A specific geographical location in the district is not a legal requirement, but the school board prefers to maintain a representative balance from all areas of the district. Salem-Keizer School District employees, officers or agents are not eligible to apply.

Interviews and appointments

Candidates will be interviewed and appointed by the school board at the regular business meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 8, 2022.

An application is available in fillable form on the Budget Committee webpage or may be obtained by calling Executive Administration and requesting a copy be mailed via regular postal mail services.
