Volunteer for the World Beat Festival this June 28th, 29th & 30th!
The World Beat Gallery will be open during spring break. Our current exhibit is called "Spring Celebrations Around the World." The exhibits are put on by those in our community who want to share their culture.
We are interested in helping kids who are college bound to find a community project to work on. We work with students to plan a project that ties to the festival (and/or gallery) and they can work on it, and in turn, we are happy to provide letters of recommendation!
And, of course, we need volunteers at the World Beat Festival this June 28th, 29th & 30th. There are many ways people can volunteer for four (4) hour shifts. We've even had teams from area schools that volunteer for a particular task, for example, garbage pick up, and in return we can compensate them to help with whatever they might need. We can be creative on how to make it a win-win.
If students want to learn about other cultures, want to learn to put on a large event, want to learn about marketing, social media, print, safety, etc., please contact us.
This year's World Beat Festival is proud to have Ukraine as our focus country. They will also do a gallery exhibit that will run concurrently with the festival. It will be a great opportunity to learn about their country from their perspectives.
