Sprague High School Salem Creekside Rotary Richard Beck Scholarship - Deadline May 10, 2024 @ 10AM.

Application Criteria:

1. Applicant must be a graduating senior at Sprague High School and a resident of Salem for the past five years.

2. Applicant must enroll in a Four-Year College, Two-Year College or Vocational School within one calendar year of award selection.

3. An individual may apply one time only.

Selection:

Salem Creekside Rotary will appoint no less than three members to serve on the Selection Committee. The committee will submit the name of award recipient, first runner up, and second runner up to the Board for final approval. The award will be based on the following criteria:

Academic Performance; School and Community Activities; Monetary Need; Accurate and Complete Application form.

 

Receipt of Award:

1. Award recipient must show evidence of a Sprague High School diploma.

2. Award recipient must show proof of acceptance into a post high school program as noted above.

 

Amount:

$2000 non-transferable scholarship to be used within one calendar year of award selection.

 

Application Procedure:

1. Complete the application online and print or print the form and complete using blue ballpoint pen ink. All signatures must be in blue ballpoint pen ink. Please leave your name off all pages except the first page.

2. Enclose the latest official High School Transcript

3. Enclose two letters of recommendation: one from a teacher and one from a non-relative.

4. Applications may be delivered to the Sprague Office in a sealed envelope no later than 10:00 am on Friday, May 10th. Selection will be made and the recipient notified by Friday, May 17th, 2023. The recipient will be expected to attend the Creekside Rotary lunch on Thursday, May 25th for the award presentation
