Meet Anne Olsen

High school sports are often the heart of school spirit. At Sprague High School, the volleyball program has a long tradition of excellence. Leading this team is varsity coach Anne Olsen, who was recently named the OSAA 6A Volleyball Coach of the Year.

Coach Olsen has led Sprague for 14 seasons. She has built one of the most respected programs in Oregon. This past year was amazing. The team became Gold National Champions at a tournament in Arizona. They also held the number one ranking in the state and finished as the runners-up in the state championship.

Building a legacy

The wins are historic, but Olsen’s real impact is the culture she has built. She has been named Conference Coach of the Year six times. She creates an environment focused on teamwork and responsibility.

Her leadership challenges students to grow as athletes and as people. They compete with the discipline and pride that Sprague volleyball is known for.

"Anne brings a clear vision and an unwavering commitment to student-athlete development. Win or lose, her teams represent Sprague with integrity, resilience, and class."
Chad Barkes, Principal at Sprague High School

Shaping future leaders

By focusing on character and inclusion, Coach Olsen ensures every athlete feels valued. Her dedication to personal growth reminds us that the best coaches do not just win games. They help shape the future leaders of our community.
