Use the Student Assessment Review (SAR) Tool

A great way to stay informed on your child's academic progress is by using the Student Assessment Review (SAR) tool, which is now available to families online through ParentVUE!

The SAR gives families a clear, easy-to-understand snapshot of their child’s progress — what’s going well, where they’ve grown, and what’s next on their learning journey.

Just open the ParentVUE app, tap on your student’s name, select Documents, and choose Student Assessment Review.

Steps for Accessing the Student Assessment Review Tool

  1. Download the ParentVUE App from either Google Play or the Apple App Store on a smart-phone or login online through a web browser (open ParentVUE in a web browser).
  2. Open the ParentVUE App or online web portal. Enter your login information or activate your account.
  3. You will see a list of current students enrolled, as well as Messages, Online Registration links, school information and events shared by the school. Select a student to view their information.
  4. Select “Documents.”
  5. Click on the appropriate PDF: “Oregon State Assessment Review | Year-Year T# Student Assessment Review.”

What's included in the Student Assessment Review

In this tool, you’ll find State Assessments in areas like Math and Language Arts. These results come from the Oregon Department of Education and you can find more details about state assessments on the Oregon Department of Education website. In addition, this tool gives families information about their child's attendance and in-class assessments to track their ongoing progress, not just their results on state assessments.

State assessments are an important time for students and they provide us a snapshot of your students' skills and abilities. We use these tests along with our own ongoing assessments to help make sure your child stays on a successful path to graduation. Testing is a regular part of learning and helps guide learning decisions at the school and district level. It also prepares students for their college and/or career journey.
