Willamette University Camp College

Camp College is an overnight camp-like experience hosted at Willamette University in Salem. Students will participate in workshops, information sessions, campus tours, and more at Willamette, Western Oregon University, and Oregon State University to prepare for success in their college search and cultivate a sense of empowerment and college belonging. 

There is no fee to participate in Camp College. All costs for the program are fully funded by Willamette University, including housing, food, transportation between campuses for tours, and educational materials.

Dates: July 24-26, 2024.


The program is a competitive application-based program. To qualify, you must: 

  • Be a high school junior or senior standing in the fall of 2024

  • Currently enrolled in a high school within the Willamette Valley

  • Demonstrate a commitment to attending 4-year college or university

  • Display leadership experience or leadership potential

We strongly encourage students from traditionally underrepresented identities to apply. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Students who have experienced hardships and/or overcome adversities that limit access to higher education.

  • First-generation college students - those with parents or guardians who have not obtained a bachelor’s degree.

  • Students who qualify for free or reduced lunch in secondary school.
