Contractor Background Checks

To qualify to work as a contractor for Salem-Keizer Public Schools you must first complete a Contractor Criminal History Check Release & Authorization form. This authorizes the district to perform a criminal history background check. Information from your background check may be considered in evaluating your qualifications for working within the district.

Contractor Trainings

Salem-Keizer Public Schools provides training to contractors, employees, and volunteers on the prevention, recognition, and reporting of child abuse and sexual conduct. Please review these materials before beginning work with the district.

Responding to Suspected Child Abuse

As a contractor, you may interact with students who have been the victims of abuse or neglect. You may question how you should respond to such concerns. Please read the information carefully and speak with an administrator if you have questions.
