Sofia is one of the district's two student advisors to the school board for the 2024-25 school year.

At Swegle Elementary, the school counseling team worked with their principal Sarah Kimmell to make a real difference in their approach to student and staff wellbeing.

Throughout the district, students and families are greeted by many staff members who are thrilled to have them with us as part of our Salem-Keizer schools.

The first day of school can be a mix of excitement and nervousness. Thankfully, students like Joel gave up their last day of summer break to welcome incoming ninth-grade students to North Salem High School.

Office Manager Cecilia Perez and Choir and Leadership Teacher Danika Locey were the duo that brought a small idea into an impactful opportunity for their students’ and colleagues.
