Owen was named a Scholastic Kid Reporter for the 2023-24 school year. He was the only student from the Pacific Northwest chosen among 28 reporters worldwide. Owen loves The Lord of the Rings and dreams of being an author or teacher.

Career Technical Education

For many students, CTE programs provide an opportunity to apply learning to real-world scenarios and careers. The district offers more than 50 CTE programs across the district.

Early Childhood Education

Early childhood education is a time of foundational learning for all students. Families can be active participants in their child’s education, which begins in preschool and kindergarten. 

English Learner Programs

Salem-Keizer Public Schools offers Migrant Education, ESOL and Dual Language programs as well as translation, interpretation and outreach services to support students and families.

Award-winning Music Programs

Our music faculty share their extensive and diverse musical backgrounds to provide students from kindergarten through 12th grade a high-quality music education.
