Agenda and non-agenda comment
Public comment will be accepted on agenda and non-agenda items by Zoom, call-in, or written submission. Please use this time to inform the board on topics for board action rather than as a public forum to voice personal agendas.
In response to feedback we have received about improving the opportunity to be selected to speak, we are testing a new procedure. A lottery system will be used to select speakers at random, first for agenda items and then for items not on the agenda. Forty-five minutes will be designated for public comment. Each person will be allowed up to three minutes, with an additional three minutes for translation to English, if needed. The link to sign up to give public comment opens when the agenda is posted and closes at 4 p.m. Monday.
Written comments
The board will receive the written public comment prior to the board meeting. Written comments will be posted on the website as supplemental material to the meeting the next business day.
